The Israel Softball Association decided to honor for the first time 6 people and induct them into the Hall of Fame during the 17th Maccabiah Games 2005.
The inductees have shown the leadership needed to keep softball in Israel alive and be at the foreground of major developments throughout Israel Softball History.
The Inductees are:
Ed Freedman- Founder of the ISA and leading figure throughout the past 27 years in Israel Softball. Former President of the ISA, Team Captain & Player in the ISA League.
Arthur Lenk - Former President of the ISA Established connections with the European Softball Federation and played a major role in having Israel accepted by the ESF as a Member Country.
Howie Litz – Former President of the ISA Chief Umpire of the ISA One of the first Umpires to become an official ESF Umpire, participating in several European Championships Directs all Umpire Coaching Courses.
Shlomo Shuvitz- Former President of the ISA Head Coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv and had influence on many athletes throughout the ISA Major role in advancing participation in the ISA during the 80"s and 90"s.
Tito Shlomovitch-
International player for Argentine made Aliyah after participation in the Maccabiah National team pitcher for Israel throughout the 80"s Mentor to many players and pitchers in the ISA.
Shmuel Flietman (1942 – 1991) -
Contributed to the development of and increased participation in the ISA.
