Junior Girls:

The Junior Girls league was established only three years ago, and already consists of 4 Junior Girls teams, trained by our national coach - Adriana Luchansky.  The teams are located at Hashmonayim, Ra’anana, Beit Shemesh, and the American School at Kfar Shemaryahu.

The Junior Girls League games are played each year from March through June. Click to view the schedule.

In addition to regular training and league games, the league also runs summer activities for junior girls which include various training, games and competitions.

Another team, of both junior boys & girls is currently being established in Ramat Hasharon.

In 2008, the first Junior National Team participated in the Junior European Championship, in Deggendorf, Germany. Coaches Adriana Luchansky and Orna Meir-Friedman are continuing their work with young athletes in preparation for the next European Championship in 2010.

The team at the Neve Malkishua drug rehabilitation village receive education, rehabilitation and social values in addition to softball. The players of this team are all residents of the rehabilitation facilities for adolescents. As players on a softball team which provides them with a normal competitive activity, they learn basic skills of teamwork and discipline. They learn how to overcome failures, build up their self esteem and eventually integrate into society.

Five players have already played on the Israeli National Team and represented our nation in European Championships.

We see this activity as a source of pride for Softball in Israel.
